दक्षिण पश्चिम दिल्ली भारत में राष्ट्रीय राजधानी क्षेत्र दिल्ली का एक प्रशासनिक जिला है. राजधानी दिल्ली के एक प्रमुख जिले के रूप में इस जिले को तीन उपमंडलों में वसंत बिहार, नजफगढ़ और दिल्ली कैंट में विभाजित किया गया है. दक्षिण पश्चिम दिल्ली में 8 विधानसभा क्षेत्र हैं तथा यहां एक भी लोकसभा क्षेत्र नहीं है.  जिले का इतिहास –इतिहास के पन्नों में हमेशा से ही ’दिल्ली’ का अहम स्थान रहा है. मुगलों से लेकर अंग्रेज तक कई वर्षों तक दिल्ली पर अपनी हुकूमत कायम करने की कवायद में लगे रहे. वहीं दिल्ली की वर्तमान प्रशासन प्रणाली की स्थापना सन् 1803 में की गई, जिस वक्त यह ब्रिटिश शासन के अधीन थी तथा उसी समय इसे विभिन्न भागों में विभाजित किया गया. दिल्ली के जिलों के रूप में विभाजन के बाद ही दक्षिण पश्चिम दिल्ली एक अलग जिले के रूप में अस्तित्व में आया. दक्षिणी पश्चिमी दिल्ली का विधानसभा क्षेत्र पालम भारतीय इतिहास की दृष्टि से अहम माना जाता है. सर हेनरी शार्प द्वारा लिखित पुस्तक Read more...

उत्तर प्रदेश के उत्तर में स्थित कानपुर देहात कानपुर नगर, हमीरपुर, जालौन, औरैया और कन्नौज जिलों के बीच स्थित है. यमुना नदी कानपुर देहात और जालौन को विभाजित करती है. प्रारंभ में जिले का नाम रमाबाई नगर था, लेकिन जुलाई 2012 में जिले का नाम बदलकर कानपुर देहात कर दिया गया. प्रारंभ में यह जिला कानपुर के साथ ही संलग्न था, जिसे विभाजन के बाद कानपुर देहात के रूप में जाना गया. इसमें औद्योगिक क्षेत्र रनिया से जौनपुर तक का बहुत बड़ा खंड है. खेती को यहां की आय का मुख्य स्त्रोत माना जाता है. कानपुर नगर और कानपुर देहात का विभाजन वर्ष 1981 में हुआ था.इतिहास- 23 अप्रैल 1981 में हुए विभाजन हुए कानपुर देहात और कानपुर नगर का इतिहास बेहद प्राचीन है. लगभग डेढ़ सौ वर्ष पूर्व इस सम्पूर्ण परिक्षेत्र को अकबरपुर, शाहपुर और अकबरपुर बीरबल के नाम से भी जाना जाता था. एक रिपोर्ट के अनुसार माउंट गॉर्नरी ने शाहपुर को गौराईखेरा बताया गया है. एफ.एन. राइट की किताब सांख्यिकीय वर्णनात्मक और ऐतिहासिक लेखों में जिन दो तालाबों का जिक्र हुआ है, वह जहानाबाद के नवाब अलमस अली खान के दरबारी शीतल शुक्ल और छब Read more...
