Making sure maintenance of public toilets & facilities in India

Above Pictures tell us very critical points about public facility maintenance, and should be replicated in India if we really want #SwachhBharat

1. Who maintains the facility should be clearly indicated with contact information.

2. We don't want person's name but agency name to hold responsible.

3. All calls and complains are logged and publicly available.

4. Hefty fines for non-compliance.

5. A standard global way to build these facilities, including connectivity to closed drainage and piped sewerage system to STP.

I think starting from our public toilets is like aiming for the Achilles heel of this monstrous problem.

Lets start the discussion here on this forum on what is the best way to achieve this, we would encourage people with municipal, social background as well as Citizens to discuss and define a way forward.
