Chikballapura district is a district in the state of Karnataka, India. In 2007, it was carved out of the pre-existing Kolar district by moving the talukas of Gauribidanur, Gudibanda, Bagepalli, Chikballapur, Sidlaghatta and Chintamani into the new district.
