To strengthen the efforts, and to unite all water resources professionals, environmental engineers/scientists, and social reformists who are keen to find workable solutions to the problem of pollution in Ganges and her tributaries, a ‘Gomti Study Group’ has been created in the supervision of Professor Venkatesh Dutta.
Team Gomti river waterkeeper will be contributing to the ‘knowledge-base’ as well as helping planners (and people) to have a model of river restoration on a long-term basis. There are about 15 experts who form this Study Group. During a recent Gomti-Ganga Yatra, the study group collected detailed information about the catchment, tributaries including water quality assessment, and information about aquatic biodiversity.
