Madhya Pradesh State Information Commission

मध्य प्रदेश में राज्य सूचना आयोग का गठन राज्य सरकार की अधिसूचना क्रमांक एफ-11-11/05/1/9 दिनाॅंक 22 अगस्त, 2005 द्वारा किया गया है । धारा 15 के अनुसार राज्य सूचना आयोग में राज्य मुख्य सूचना आयुक्त के अलावा राज्य सूचना आयुक्तों की संख्या जो कि 10 से अधिक नहीं होगी, आवश्यकता अनुसार रखी जा सकेगी। मध्य प्रदेश में आयोग का गठन होने के उपरान्त राज्य मुख्य सूचना आयुक्त के पद पर श्री टी0एन0श्रीवास्तव, सेवानिवृत्त भारतीय प्रशासनिक सेवा के वरिष्ठ अधिकारी को नियुक्त किया गया है, जिन्होंने शपथ ग्रहण कर अपने पद का कार्यभार दिनाॅंक 14/10/2005 को ग्रहण किया है एवं दिनांक 31.10.06 को 65 वर्ष की आयु पूर्ण होने से सेवानिवृत्त हुए। दिनांक 26.03.2007 को श्री पी. पी. तिवारी द्वारा शपथ ग्रहण कर पद का कार्यभार ग्रहण किया गया है।

राज्य सूचना आयोग के कर्तव्यों और दायित्वों का उल्लेख सूचना के अधिकार अधिनियम की धारा 18 से 20 में किया गया है । वस्तुतः राज्य सूचना आयोग के समक्ष द्वितीय अपील एवं शिकायतें ही की जा सकती है । राज्य सूचना आयोग दोषी अधिकारियों पर शास्ति भी आरोपित कर सकता है और राज्य शासन को अनुशासनात्मक कार्यवाही करने के लिए अनुशंसा भी कर सकता है ।
सूचना का अधिकार अधिनियम की धारा 6 के अन्तर्गत सूचना प्राप्त करने के लिये सर्वप्रथम लोक सूचना अधिकारी के समक्ष आवेदन प्रस्तुत किया जाना चाहिये । प्रत्येक लोक प्राधिकारी का दायित्व है कि वह अपने प्रत्येक कार्यालय में अधिनियम की धारा 5 के अनुसार लोक सूचना अधिकारी नामांकित करें । उप जिला या उप संभाग स्तरीय कार्यालयों में सहायक लोक सूचना अधिकारी नामंाकित किये जाने का प्रावधान है । सहायक लोक सूचना अधिकारी को सूचना प्राप्त करने संबंधी आवेदन/अपील ज्ञापन प्राप्त करने के लिये अधिकृत किया गया है ।
