@ Rakesh, during our childhood days people used to like open spaces and had the time and will to go there for a walk , or sit and spend time with neighbors, friends and family. Nowadays we do not know who's our neighbor, what they do for a living or even the name of their kids. What are the possible reasons which confine us in our matchboxes..??!
1.) lack of space for people to meet up, chat etc. If this is possible then there would be no play area left for the kids (well mostly!)
2.) Even if there is an area there are valid reasons for parents to not send kids out after a set time. Reasons may be :
a- lack of trust : in society and the administration ( who knows who let the man hole /drain open?? or worse, who let their dogs without any leash to bark, scare , or god forbid.. bite .)
b- lack of safe and hygienic environs : In our country mostly the parks or open spaces are used as dump yards. be it household garbage,( yes! this includes everything.. from a baby poo nappy to other human waste products out there in the open ..) old broken wash basins, furniture , kabad , construction waste etc work as heaven for all the beings who feed and thrive on garbage and junk.. pigs ,dogs ,rats , cats , monkeys (all cause deadly rabies infection ) lizards,snakes to name a few. And who will forget our beloved mosquitoes of various mutated ,resistant types in various shapes and sizes..?!!
Solutions ??
WE THE PEOPLE
Lets promise ourselves to rebuild and take care of our community as a whole and work together towards it. However small it may seem.. WE can make the Change happen. :)
